The last day of classes for students is Thursday, June 21st. This is a full day.
*Assemblies that have normally been held on Friday morning for Elementary and Middle School will be on Tuesday, June 19th.
*The Elementary Assembly will begin at 9:00AM and the Middle Level assembly will begin at 10:45AM.
* Report Cards for K-11 will go home on Thursday, June 21.
*Grade 12 will get their Report Cards when they come to pick up their graduation documents after the graduation (Friday, Monday or Tuesday, June 22, 25,26).
The Entertainment Committee of the 2012 Miramichi Rock’N Run invites entertainers and musicians of all genres to join us on Sunday morning, June 24th. This is a great opportunity to showcase your talents and help inspire our runners. A time commitment between 20 & 40 minutes is all that is required. Spaces are limited, so please contact Ken or Sandra at 843-7872 (or via email at volunteer@runmiramichi.ca) ASAP (but no later than June 7th).
The Miramichi Kinsmen and School District 16 are pleased to
accept film entries for the second annual Kin Film Festival. All School
District 16 students are invited to participate. Films can be submitted
in one of two categories: Open and The Kinsmen Category (The Communities Greatest Need). The top 10
films in each category will be screened on May 12th, 2012 at Miramichi
Empire Studio 5. Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded for
the winners in each category.
Students who will be in grades 11 ands 12 in the next school year can now apply for positions for the 2013 yearbook. Details can be obtained from Mr. Carter. The deadline for application letters is Thursday, March 29.
Blackville School would like to thank all Staff and Students who participated in the 5th Annual Pink Shirt Day. Many classes had 100% participation ! Way to go Eagles. Check out the Photo Gallery for Pictures.
The Annual Principal's Cup game will take place in Sunny Corner tomorrow, Wednesday, February 29th, 2012. A team of Grade 6 Blackville Eagles will face-off in a hockey game against a team of Grade 6 North & South Esk Beavers. The game is slated to take place around 12:00pm at the Sunny Corner arena. The grade 6 students will be to cheer on our Eagles. Students are leaving the school around 11am and are expected to return by 2pm.
